1. Who we are

LinkSweep ("we", "our", "us") is a website health monitoring service operated by LEAD OÜ, registered at Sõle tn 14/1, Põhja-Tallinna linnaosa, 10611 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. 2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the service:

  • Account data: email, name, hashed password (bcrypt)
  • Billing data: handled by Stripe; we only store a Stripe customer ID
  • Site data you provide: URLs of websites you add to monitor
  • Scan results: broken links, warnings, and metadata from crawling your sites
  • Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting), browser user-agent, basic usage logs

3. How we use your data

  • To operate the scanning service you signed up for
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To send you scan reports and account emails
  • To prevent abuse (rate limits, fraud detection)
  • To comply with our legal obligations (VAT records, etc.)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data processors we use

  • Stripe (payments) — processes your card details. We never see or store card numbers.
  • Zone.eu (hosting) — stores our servers and your data in the EU.
  • Email provider — delivers scan notifications and account emails.

5. Data retention

Scan data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete any site or scan from your dashboard at any time. On account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except data we are legally required to retain (e.g. billing records for VAT purposes — 7 years).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the EU/EEA you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data (CSV exports are built into the dashboard)
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • File a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee)

7. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie (access_token) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Our servers are in EU data centers. We review access regularly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
