How to let LinkSweep scan your Sucuri-protected site
Your site is behind the Sucuri Firewall (also called CloudProxy), which is blocking our scanner. Sucuri is a popular WAF for WordPress and other CMS sites — we just need to tell it that LinkSweep is safe. This takes about 5 minutes.
Don't manage your site's security yourself?
Scroll to the bottom — there's a ready-to-send message you can forward to whoever runs your website.
What to tell Sucuri
- LinkSweep's IP address
- 185.31.243.206
- LinkSweep's identifier
- Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
- How much traffic
- Up to a few hundred requests per scan, on whatever schedule you've set.
Step-by-step in the Sucuri Firewall dashboard
- Log in to waf.sucuri.net and pick the site you want to scan.
-
Whitelist our IP:
- Top menu → Access Control.
- Open the Whitelist tab.
- Under Whitelist IP Address, enter
185.31.243.206. - Click Whitelist IP. The entry appears in the list immediately.
- If you've enabled Aggressive Bot Filtering: Settings → Security → check that Aggressive Bot Filter isn't catching us. The IP whitelist above usually takes precedence, but if you see LinkSweep in Audit Logs being blocked, lower the bot filter to Normal for the duration of the scan or add LinkSweep's UA as an exception.
- If you have GeoIP blocking: LinkSweep scans from Estonia. Settings → Access Control → GeoIP Whitelist → ensure Estonia (EE) is allowed, or that the IP whitelist overrides GeoIP rules.
After you've allowlisted us
- Sucuri whitelist entries are live within seconds.
- In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
- Verify in Sucuri's Audit Logs that requests from
185.31.243.206are now passing through.
