How to let LinkSweep scan your PerimeterX-protected site
Your site is behind PerimeterX (now called Human Security), a bot-defence service that's blocking our scanner. We just need to tell it that LinkSweep is a legitimate monitoring bot. This takes about 5 minutes.
Don't manage your site's security yourself?
Scroll to the bottom — there's a ready-to-send message you can forward to whoever runs your website.
What to tell PerimeterX / Human Security
- LinkSweep's IP address
- 185.31.243.206
- LinkSweep's identifier
- Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
- How much traffic
- Up to a few hundred requests per scan, on whatever schedule you've set.
Step-by-step in the Human Security / PerimeterX console
- Log in to console.humansecurity.com (formerly console.perimeterx.com) and select the application you want to scan.
-
Add a Rule that allows our IP:
- Left sidebar → Bot Defender (or Rules on older consoles).
- Open the Allowlist / Whitelist tab.
- Add IP:
185.31.243.206, label: "LinkSweep monitoring". - Save. Changes typically take effect immediately.
- Make sure no Custom Rule overrides the allowlist: Bot Defender → Custom Rules. Custom rules can be set to action "Block" even on allowlisted IPs — re-order or edit any that match LinkSweep's UA.
- If you have separate rate-limit or scraper rules: also add the IP to those bypass lists.
After you've allowlisted us
- Changes are usually live within a minute.
- In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
- If it still fails after 5-10 minutes, contact support.

Hi,
We're using LinkSweep (https://linksweep.eu) to monitor our website's health. Their crawler is being blocked by PerimeterX / Human Security.
Please add them to our allowlist:
- IP: 185.31.243.206
- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
Steps (5 min):
1. Human Security console → our app → Bot Defender → Allowlist
2. Add IP 185.31.243.206 with label "LinkSweep monitoring"
3. Check that no Custom Rule blocks the IP / our UA before the allowlist applies
Expected traffic: up to a few hundred requests per scheduled scan. They respect robots.txt.
