How to let LinkSweep scan your PerimeterX-protected site

Your site is behind PerimeterX (now called Human Security), a bot-defence service that's blocking our scanner. We just need to tell it that LinkSweep is a legitimate monitoring bot. This takes about 5 minutes.

Don't manage your site's security yourself?

What to tell PerimeterX / Human Security

LinkSweep's IP address
185.31.243.206
LinkSweep's identifier
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
How much traffic
Up to a few hundred requests per scan, on whatever schedule you've set.

Step-by-step in the Human Security / PerimeterX console

  1. Log in to console.humansecurity.com (formerly console.perimeterx.com) and select the application you want to scan.
  2. Add a Rule that allows our IP:
    1. Left sidebar → Bot Defender (or Rules on older consoles).
    2. Open the Allowlist / Whitelist tab.
    3. Add IP: 185.31.243.206, label: "LinkSweep monitoring".
    4. Save. Changes typically take effect immediately.
  3. Make sure no Custom Rule overrides the allowlist: Bot Defender → Custom Rules. Custom rules can be set to action "Block" even on allowlisted IPs — re-order or edit any that match LinkSweep's UA.
  4. If you have separate rate-limit or scraper rules: also add the IP to those bypass lists.

After you've allowlisted us

  1. Changes are usually live within a minute.
  2. In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
  3. If it still fails after 5-10 minutes, contact support.
