How to let LinkSweep scan your DataDome-protected site

Your site is behind DataDome, a bot-management service that's blocking our scanner. We just need to tell DataDome that LinkSweep is a known good bot. This takes about 5 minutes.

Step-by-step in the DataDome dashboard

  1. Log in to dashboard.datadome.co and pick the property you want to scan.
  2. Add a Custom Rule that allows our IP:
    1. Left sidebar → Protection → Custom Rules.
    2. Click New Rule.
    3. Condition: IP equals 185.31.243.206.
    4. Response: Allow (no challenge, no captcha).
    5. Name: "LinkSweep monitoring". Save and enable.
  3. If you use DataDome's bot-list with strict bot-management: add LinkSweep to the Known Bots allow list. Bots → Bot Management → Allow list → add by IP or by User-Agent regex LinkSweep/1\.0.
  4. If you have rate-limiting rules: add the same IP to their bypass list so the scan isn't throttled mid-crawl.

After you've allowlisted us

  1. DataDome rule changes propagate within 1-2 minutes.
  2. In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
  3. If it still fails after 5-10 minutes, contact support.
