How to let LinkSweep scan your Cloudflare-protected site
Your site is behind Cloudflare, which is blocking our scanner. Cloudflare is a security service many sites use to stop bad traffic — we just need to tell it that LinkSweep is safe. This takes about 5 minutes.
Don't manage your site's security yourself?
Scroll to the bottom — there's a ready-to-send message you can forward to whoever runs your website.
What to tell Cloudflare
- LinkSweep's IP address
- 185.31.243.206
- LinkSweep's identifier
- Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
- How much traffic
- Up to a few hundred requests per scan, on whatever schedule you've set.
Step-by-step in the Cloudflare dashboard
- Log in to dash.cloudflare.com and pick the site (zone) you want to scan.
-
Add an IP allow rule:
- Left sidebar → Security → WAF → Tools.
- Under IP Access Rules, add a new rule.
- IP:
185.31.243.206 - Action: Allow
- Zone: This website (not your whole account)
- Notes: "LinkSweep monitoring"
- Click Add. Changes are live immediately — no activation step.
-
If you use Bot Fight Mode or Super Bot Fight Mode: go to Security → Bots. Bot Fight Mode ignores IP Access rules for some bots, so also:
- Go to Security → WAF → Custom rules.
- Create a rule: When incoming requests match →
(ip.src eq 185.31.243.206)→ Then take action: Skip → tick All remaining custom rules, Managed rules, Zone Lockdown, and Super Bot Fight Mode. - Save and deploy.
- If you have any Rate-Limiting rules: add the same IP to their bypass list so we don't get throttled.
After you've allowlisted us
- Cloudflare changes are usually live in under a minute.
- In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
- The scan should complete successfully. If it still fails, contact support.

Hi,
We're using LinkSweep (https://linksweep.eu) to monitor our website's health. Their crawler is being blocked by Cloudflare.
Please add them to our Cloudflare allowlist:

- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
Steps (5 min):
1. Cloudflare dashboard → our zone → Security → WAF → Tools
2. IP Access Rules → Add → IP 185.31.243.206, Action "Allow", Zone "this website"
3. If Bot Fight / Super Bot Fight Mode is on: add a Custom Rule that Skips all managed features for ip.src eq 185.31.243.206
Expected traffic: up to a few hundred requests per scheduled scan. They respect robots.txt.
