How to let LinkSweep scan your Cloudflare-protected site

Your site is behind Cloudflare, which is blocking our scanner. Cloudflare is a security service many sites use to stop bad traffic — we just need to tell it that LinkSweep is safe. This takes about 5 minutes.

Don't manage your site's security yourself?

Scroll to the bottom — there's a ready-to-send message you can forward to whoever runs your website.

What to tell Cloudflare

LinkSweep's IP address
185.31.243.206
LinkSweep's identifier
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LinkSweep/1.0; +https://linksweep.eu/bot)
How much traffic
Up to a few hundred requests per scan, on whatever schedule you've set.

Step-by-step in the Cloudflare dashboard

  1. Log in to dash.cloudflare.com and pick the site (zone) you want to scan.
  2. Add an IP allow rule:
    1. Left sidebar → SecurityWAFTools.
    2. Under IP Access Rules, add a new rule.
    3. IP: 185.31.243.206
    4. Action: Allow
    5. Zone: This website (not your whole account)
    6. Notes: "LinkSweep monitoring"
    7. Click Add. Changes are live immediately — no activation step.
  3. If you use Bot Fight Mode or Super Bot Fight Mode: go to SecurityBots. Bot Fight Mode ignores IP Access rules for some bots, so also:
    1. Go to SecurityWAFCustom rules.
    2. Create a rule: When incoming requests match(ip.src eq 185.31.243.206)Then take action: Skip → tick All remaining custom rules, Managed rules, Zone Lockdown, and Super Bot Fight Mode.
    3. Save and deploy.
  4. If you have any Rate-Limiting rules: add the same IP to their bypass list so we don't get throttled.

After you've allowlisted us

  1. Cloudflare changes are usually live in under a minute.
  2. In LinkSweep, open the site and click Scan Now.
  3. The scan should complete successfully. If it still fails, contact support.
